Toilet Paper Roll Sheep Craft
This toilet paper roll sheep craft is super easy to make, and the kids love it because it's fluffy and cute.
You can make this sheep with a toilet paper roll (cute in have), some cardstock, glue, googly eyes, and cotton balls. We had all of these already lying around in our craft shelves.
Toilet Paper Roll Sheep Craft
This is a great craft to do with preschoolers and grade schoolers. The littlest kids will need some help with this sheep craft, but the bigger kids could do this on their own with a little guidance.
Materials Needed
- toilet paper roll (cut in half)
- card stock or construction paper + straws
- googly eyes
- glue (white glue for little kids, hot glue for bigger kids)
- cotton balls
How to Make a Toilet Paper Roll Sheep
- Cut your toilet paper roll in half.
- For the face and ears: cut out two teardrop shapes and an oval shape out of card stock or construction paper.
- Glue googly eyes onto your sheep face.
- For the legs: If you are using card stock, cut out 4 rectangles and roll each rectangle into a tube. Glue the tube closed. (Hot glue works best for this, since it dries quickly and gives a sturdier bond than white glue.) If you don't want to use card stock, straws or sticks will also work as legs.
- Poke 4 holes on the underside of your toilet paper roll for the legs. (We just used scissors to poke holes.)
- Insert your sheep legs into the holes. If your holes are the right size, the legs will stay put on their own. If the holes are a bit big, use glue to keep the legs in place.
- Tear apart some cotton balls (we used 3 large cotton balls for 1 sheep).
- Spread a thin coat of white glue on the outside of the toilet paper roll.
- Stick your cotton ball wool to the toilet paper roll.
- Glue your sheep's face onto his woolly body.
- Stick some extra cotton ball wool inside the toilet paper roll, to give your sheep fluffy sides (and hide the toilet paper roll).
Tada! Done. Toilet paper roll sheep complete.
This guy is adorable.
