Kids Crochet Cat Hat
I made this crochet cat hat for one of my twins who loves black cats. It's a simple project that you can whip up in about an hour.
This hat is based on my basic kids' crochet hat pattern. You can see that pattern if you want to modify this hat to work with heavy worsted weight yarn and a 6.0 mm crochet hook.
Finished size: 18 inch circumference; 7.5 inch height
Materials
- light worsted weight yarn (I used Caron Simply Soft) in two colours - main colour for the cat (160 yds), plus a second colour for inside the ears (a scrap will do)
- 5.5 mm crochet hook
- yarn needle for sewing the ears together

Adult Crochet Cat Hat
This crochet cat hat was super cute, so I had to make an adult version. The adult cat hat is based on a slightly different hat pattern, with double crochets making up most of the hat, and a faux-ribbing pattern along the bottom.
I also used a heavier yarn for my adult cat hat.
Finished size: 19 inch circumference; 8 inch height

- heavy worsted weight yarn (I used Bernat Super Value) in two colours - main colour for the cat, plus a second colour for inside the ears

Rebecca is a chaplain at a girls’ school, a mom to boys, and a crafter of all things. She crochets in every free moment she has, and she spends much of her time gluing cotton balls to toilet paper rolls and mopping up glitter.
Wonderful gifts for my cat loving friends and family.
I’m glad you like the pattern, Silva! Thanks for the feedback.
